The FP-7570B has a rugged compact circuit design and uses a metal oxide varistor which protects both the photocontrol and luminaire from surges produced from powerline switching and lightning.

The relay is heavier duty than any found in other electronic photocontrols available today. This relay has the capability to handle high loads with less contact wear, lower losses and lower heat build-up. A mechanically connected armature hinge prevents contact misalignment and provides a higher load current carrying capability (ANSI standard C136.10 impact damage resistance requirements are exceeded by a factor of two). Electronic switching of a relay results in smooth chatter free switching.
