In 1938, Dick Fisher and Bob Pierce started a manufacturing company in the small shed in Bob's back yard. The shed originally belonged to Bob's grandfather Charles E. Pierce and is still located on the corner of Freeman Place in Duxbury. They didn't have a lot of money or manufacturing equipment, but they did have two more important assets - the commitment to uncompromising quality and ingenuity.
Both were forward looking creative inventors. Their creations included photocontrols, sensitive electromagnetic relays, stepper motors, telegraph relays, magnetic amplifiers and high voltage/current sensors. Things have changed considerably since 1938, but that
commitment to quality
continues at today's Fisher Pierce OLC.
